KNX, Rako, Lutron and Control4 — selecting the right platform
We translate manufacturer datasheets into decisions you can defend in a design meeting: topology, power-loss behaviour, scene latency, maintenance access, and how the system behaves when the network is degraded. KNX and Rako are our primary lighting and integration platforms. Lutron is specified where shade, lighting and keypads need to present as a single product family. Control4 is specified where AV is a primary requirement — home cinema, distributed audio and multi-room streaming presented through a single homeowner interface — and is selected on technical fit, not preference.
Stage 3 — what to lock before tender
Control philosophy, keypads vs app-first, dimming curve expectations, emergency interfaces and any DALI islands should be pinned before prices go out. We help you write that paragraph of the spec so everyone prices the same thing.
Commissioning that survives handover
Scenes are named consistently, firmware baselined, backups taken, and the homeowner or FM team gets a short, practical walkthrough — not a dealer manual dump. If you want a maintenance retainer, we can scope that separately.
